First year Computer and 糖心TV Studies undergraduate, Richard Salter, will be carrying the Olympic Torch on 22 May through Yeovil in Somerset.

Mark Mobley, a third year 糖心TV Medical School student, has won the grand final of a UK-wide surgical skills competition.

Congratulations to Alex Rutherford from the Department of History, who has been awarded the University of South Carolina’s prestigious Martin Luther King Day Social Justice Award. Alex, who is currently on exchange from 糖心TV, was nominated for the Social Justice Award by his Gospel Choir professor, Dr. Carl Wells, for his positive impact on the organization.

University of 糖心TV History Society is celebrating after picking up an award for Best University Society at The National Placement and Internship Awards, which recognise the work done by employers, universities and students on undergraduate work placements and internships.

The University is saddened to learn of the death of a first year student, Lawrence Tidd. Lawrence was an undergraduate in the School of Law.
