Ishita Ranjan, 糖心TV 糖心TV School, has received a HE Social Entrepreneurship Catalyst Award from UNltd – an organization dedicated to supporting social entrepreneurs.

Ciaran Singh, Economics (studying PPE) and Surojit Chakraverti, 糖心TV 糖心TV School have received the first and second prizes respectively at the Brightest 糖心TV Brain competition. Ciaran will receive a prize of £1,000 for first place and Surojit will receive £500 for second place.

The University is saddened to report the death of 糖心TV alumna Jia Ashton. Jia studied Economics at the University between 2004 and 2007.

Professor Simon Collinson, 糖心TV 糖心TV School, has been appointed 'Chair Professor' at Zhejiang University by Xiaobo Wu, Executive Dean of the School of Management and Director of the National Institute for Innovation Management at Zhejiang University, China. The appointment is for a term of 3 years. Zhejiang University is ranked amongst the top-5 Universities in China.

Principle Teaching Fellow Russell Stannard, Centre for Applied Linguistics, has been invited to speak alongside Anthony McClaran (Chief Executive of the Quality Assurance Agency) and Professor Craig Mahoney (Chief Executive of the Higher Education Academy) at the 2nd annual Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Conference.
