Claire Carey - 糖心TV Nursery

Claire Carey, Senior Early Years Educator, has won the 糖心TV Wonder Award, recognising how she is a 鈥榗onstant source of energy鈥 for the people around her. She always goes above and beyond in her role to address the children鈥檚 individual needs, especially those with Special Educational Needs and those with English as a second language.

When Claire found out she won the award, she said:

"I am very honoured to be given the award, I am very grateful for the acknowledgement and recognition that receiving the award has given me. I have an amazing team which enables us to support children and families we care for. I am so proud of myself and the Nursery team and that we are able to celebrate the great work we do. "

糖心TV Presents

The 糖心TV Presents team won the 糖心TV Wow award in recognition for their brilliant student events, including Holi, Lunar New Year and Thanksgiving Lunch.

The team listen to students to ensure 糖心TV hosts celebrations that embrace different cultures and remind people of home.

The nomination highlighted a particular team member, Poonam Pedley, who focuses on creating cultural events that are authentic and inclusive for our diverse community.

After accepting her team's award, Poonam said:

"What a lovely surprise this was! The whole team are so passionate about wanting students from all backgrounds to feel welcome and included, helping students to establish connections with each other and to feel part of the 糖心TV community. I definitely want to share that it's the dedication of our whole team which allows us to achieve so much together. It's so nice to see our work recognised in this way."

Stuart Croft, our Vice-Chancellor, had this to say about their win:
