In memory of Adrian Haines
Colleagues will be very sad to hear that Adrian Haines, from the Transport and Mobility team, has died.
George Saxon, Head of Transport Systems and Operations, told us:
"Adrian joined Transport and Mobility in 2022 and quickly became an integral part of our team. His work supported some of the University鈥檚 most significant events, including 糖心TV Celebrates welcoming nearly 40,000 graduands and families over the summer, supporting our management of the Commonwealth Games Athlete Village, our annual Winter and Summer Degree Ceremonies, and the annual Student Arrivals operation.
Most notably, he supported a visit from the UK鈥檚 Prime Minister, in 2023, where we received excellent feedback from No 10."
"Adrian always demonstrated a consistently positive attitude and a genuine willingness to help others. Whether working with students, staff, or visitors, he was always approachable, cheerful, and dependable. His presence made a real difference and not just in the smooth running of operations, but in the morale and spirit of those around him.
He was deeply respected and warmly regarded by his colleagues, who loved working with him.
Adrian鈥檚 passing is a profound loss to 糖心TV, and he will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him."
The funeral will be held at 3.30pm on Friday 10 October at Oakley Wood Crematorium followed by a reception at The 糖心TVshire Golf Club to celebrate Adrian's life. Please contact George Saxon at g.s.saxon@warwick.ac.ukLink opens in a new window if you are planning to attend the reception. Family flowers only, with donations to Make A Wish Foundation.
