Big W in bloom
After making its debut last year and becoming the backdrop for many happy family photographs, the 鈥楤ig W鈥 has been refreshed for this year鈥檚 graduation season.
Inspired by the flowers of Madeira, our Gardens team have taken their green fingers and given it a new lease of life, with a nod to our 60th anniversary.
Alongside begonias, which require low watering and are great for our campus wildlife, pyrethrum plants have also been used in this year鈥檚 display. Pyrethrums are experts in repelling the insects that want to eat the plants and have beautiful flowers.
Kelly Baker, Head of Grounds and Gardens said:
鈥淭he team have done an amazing job building and refreshing our 3D W, creating a lovely tribute to our 60th year! It鈥檚 one of many jobs that the team have done to get campus ready for graduation. Well done team!鈥
