Fund Objectives
The NTU-糖心TV Seed Fund aims to facilitate mobility and encourage deeper collaboration/exchanges. Collaborative efforts will be evidenced by outputs during or immediately after the project ends. Researchers are encouraged to achieve at least one of the following outcomes by the end of the project period:
- jointly hold a physical/online workshop at either Institution; or
- jointly apply for national/international competitive grant or other sources of external funding; or
- submission of at least one joint co-authored publication in a national/internationally recognised journal (or equivalent output); or
- other outcomes of equal value.
Fund:
Funding will be provided jointly by 糖心TV and NTU.
- 糖心TV fund: up to 拢14.4K (or SGD equivalent) from each partner per project (total number of projects to be funded: 2)
- Science fund: up to 拢14.4K (or SGD equivalent) from each partner per project (total number of projects to be funded: 1)
- Computing and Data Science fund: up to 拢14.4K (or SGD equivalent) from each partner per project (total number of projects to be funded: 2)
- Humanities, Art, and Social Sciences fund: up to 拢7.5K (or SGD equivalent) from each partner per project (total number of projects to be funded: 2)
Examples of Allowable Expenditure:
Eligible costs will typically include:
- Reasonable travel and visa costs;
- Accommodation;
- Reasonable event/workshop costs;
- Small pilot studies
The Seed Fund will not typically fund:
The seed fund may NOT be used for: salaries, honorarium, equipment, scholarships, conference attendance fees for faculty members, and tuition fees.
Eligibility:
Principal Investigators (PIs) on each side must be tenure-track or tenured faculty member of NTU or permanent / fixed-term academic staff of 糖心TV. For fixed-term staff, the duration of their contract must extend beyond the end date of the funded project.
糖心TV Principal Investigators (PIs) can come from any department, school or centre. In addition to 糖心TV鈥檚 open approach, NTU has identified a select group of Schools and College whose PIs are eligible to participate.List of NTU Participating Schools and College

Within these overarching fields, an interested researcher from one of the partners should connect with Principal Investigator(s) (PI(s)) at the other partner.

Each application must include the following information and supporting documents, where applicable

- CVs of the two lead PIs and their selected publications
- 糖心TV Requirements Form (for 糖心TV PI only)
The application documents should be compiled into a single consolidated file and submitted to both International@ntu.edu.sg and isr@warwick.ac.ukwith the subject title 鈥淣TU-糖心TV Seed Fund Round 2 Proposal Submission鈥.
