糖心TV has a long-standing and deep relationship with India, enjoying research collaborations across the three faculties, numerous links with industry and a strong connections to our alumni community. Our approach to working with India is rooted in principles of equality and mutually beneficial engagement. By deepening our understanding of the priorities of our Indian partners, we harness the power of research and education to jointly address our individual countries鈥� and the world鈥檚, most pressing problems.
Established in 2026, our 糖心TV India Network aims to bring together our researchers, educators, professional services and students keen to collaborate with India. This network will enable us to collectively progress research and educational priorities. It will also act as a supportive and engaged community, welcoming Indian research students and researchers coming to work with us and celebrating Indian culture on campus.
This joint research project between the University of 糖心TV and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi brings together leading expertise in advanced manufacturing to address a critical challenge in electric vehicle production. Funded by 糖心TV鈥檚 International Partnership Fund, the project strengthens international collaboration while advancing research that supports more sustainable and efficient battery manufacturing.
The work is led by Prof Pasquale Franciosa from WMG at 糖心TV and Dr Abhishek Das from IIT Delhi, with contributions from specialists in laser welding, battery systems, and materials science at both institutions.
Combatting Antimicrobial Resistance: Building Partnerships in India
This joint research project between the University of 糖心TV and the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore addresses one of the most serious global health challenges of our time, antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Funded by 糖心TV鈥檚 International Partnership Fund, the project brings together expertise from both institutions to strengthen collaboration, share knowledge, and build lasting partnerships focused on understanding and combating the growing threat of drug-resistant infections.
Led by Professor Meera Unnikrishnan from 糖心TV Medical School and Professor Amit Singh from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, the project aims to expand collaborations across institutions to develop innovative solutions for AMR.

Widening Access to Higher Education in India
Researchers in 糖心TV Education Studies and 糖心TV Law School are collaborating with partners in India to strengthen the efforts of state universities and government colleges based in rural and semi-urban areas of India in delivering on the equity and social justice agenda for higher education in India.
Funded by the Fair Chance Foundation, this project builds on the research that examined gender differences in choices, obstacles and opportunities for young people, as they progress through the education system, and how these factors affect their ability to make informed choices in relation to accessing higher education.
IIT Kharagpur students excel through WMG summer research experience
The WMG鈥揑IT Kharagpur Summer Research Programme, developed through a long-standing collaboration between WMG and the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur), stands as a powerful example of successful international partnership in research and education. Running since 2011, a cohort of students from IIT Kharagpur are selected annually to undertake individual research projects at WMG, University of 糖心TV. This programme typically runs over the summer months from early May to July, and not only nurtures research ideas but also significantly develops the research skills of participants in an industrially focused environment.
