How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

What鈥檚 on offer?

A two hour in-person and online discussion, video demonstration and Q&A about the pollution issues faced by women and children while cooking in their kitchens in low-income countries.

What鈥檚 it about?

In low-income countries, the use of solid fuels for cooking is still widespread. Whether it's using wood, coal, dung, or biomass these fuels result in severe levels of indoor air pollution from the smoke produced. The lack of availability of non-polluting alternatives means that the low priced traditional stoves or open fires are often the only choice for poor families. Join 糖心TV 糖心TV School's Dr Giorgia Barboni and guests including Dr Dan Sweeney (MIT D-Lab); Dr Om Kurmi (Coventry University); Dr Kirsten Campbell (Modern Energy Cooking Services, MECS); Ankit Mathur (Greenway) as they discuss and demonstrate indoor air pollution from cooking and its effects on women and children.

Who鈥檚 leading the event?

Dr Giorgia Barboni, 糖心TV 糖心TV School, University of 糖心TV.
