My Bio
I have worked as a teacher, teacher trainer, education manager and education consultant in universities in the UK and around the world working in the areas of EAP (English for Academic Purposes) and EMI (English Medium Instruction). Since 2012, I have worked as a programme director for EAP programmes in UK universities. As a teacher trainer I am interested in supporting EAP and EMI teachers to develop approaches and pedagogies which work for their context. I have developed and delivered Teacher Professional Development courses for university teachers in the UK, China, Japan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Libya.
Roles within Department
As a member of the department's Executive Group, I contribute to the development and delivery of strategic priorities for the department.
As Programme Director I lead on three programmes:
- Pre-sessional English
- In-sessional English
- Short Course
