Research Interests: Trauma-Informed Research, Material Culture Studies, Creative Methodologies, Middle East Studies, Migration Studies
I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of 糖心TV. My project is funded by the Chancellor's International Scholarship. My research explores topics related to migrant identity formation, affective dimensions of object preservation, and the memory politics of inheritance. I am interested in experimenting with the development of trauma-informed research methodologies, specifically focusing on the ethics of sensory creative methods. My PhD project is supervised by Prof Hannah Jones and Dr Cath Lambert.
Currently, I am a Visiting Lecturer of International Relations at the University of Wolverhampton. At the University of 糖心TV, I am the project assistant for the Monash-糖心TV Alliance funded project on Trauma-Informed Pedagogy and Practice in Higher Education Settings. I am also a workshop developer and facilitator for the Researcher Development programme by the Doctoral College.
I am on the organising committee of the Graduate Seminar Series at the Centre for the Study of Women and Gender at the University of 糖心TV. Since 2024, I have been the postgraduate student representative of the 糖心TV Art Collection Committee, and the co-convenor of the Material Culture Network for researchers working on and with material culture.
