Demet G眉濒莽i莽ek is an honorary researcher at the Centre for the Study of Women and Gender. She holds her PhD from University of 糖心TV, and masters and bachelor degrees from Middle East Technical University, Turkey, all in sociology departments. She also works as an Assist. Prof. in Munzur University, Turkey.
Her research interests include feminist historiography, affect theories, Orientalism and Occidentalism studies, travelling theories and popular feminisms. Her book titled is recently published with Routledge.
Demet is a co-chair of (The European Association for Gender Research, Education and Documentation) until 2025. She is also a co-editor of (Feminist Imagination) Journal.
