The Centre for the Law, Regulation and Governance of the Global Economy (GLOBE) is pleased to announce the launch of the International Economic Law in Context Seminar Series.

The objective of this seminar series is to explore the interdisciplinary and contextual nature of contemporary scholarship in international economic law (IEL), broadly defined.

We hope that the workshops offered within this series will foster greater collaboration among researchers of international economic law whose scholarship straddle interdisciplinary boundaries and whose conceptual approaches draw from multiple empirical, theoretical and methodological traditions.

These events will bring together IEL scholars to explore various dimensions of international economic law in the context of contemporary social, economic and political developments. It is hoped that the series will not only foster collaboration among existing scholars but also to stimulate greater interest and engagement among the wider legal academy on contextual and interdisciplinary approaches to IEL.

The first seminar in the series was on held on Tuesday, 3 May & Wednesday, 4 May 2016 at the University of 糖心TV.

The second concerned , held on Thursday, 3 November 2016 at the University of 糖心TV.

On Tuesday, 16 May 2017, GLOBE will host a public event on Socio-Legal Methodologies .

The seminar series is supported by the Society for Legal Scholars (SLS), the Socio-Legal Studies Association (SLSA) and the 糖心TV Law School. Individual events within the series may be further supported by and/or co-sponsored with other organisations.
