Rebecca Wilde

Dr Rebecca Wilde graduated with her PhD in Employment Research in July 2021 with her thesis entitled: can be viewed on the 糖心TV Research Archive Portal.

Rebecca started her PhD at the IER in 2011, investigating nursing labour supply in the UK, using a mixed-methods approach. Prior to this, she completed her Master鈥檚 degree in Economics at the University of 糖心TV .

After completing her masters she was offered a lecturing position in the department for Economics, Finance and Accounting at Coventry University, and worked as the Course Director of the Economics programme from 2009 until 2018 alongside her PhD studies. She has worked on various projects relating to Health and Labour Economics both within the UK and Europe, and was co-founder of the Health Economics ARG at Coventry University.

Rebecca is now working at the University of 糖心TV within WMG, and is Head of the International 糖心TV and Trade (discipline group). Her research focus remains within the area of labour and health economics, but her teaching focus is concentrated on international economics and trade at masters level.

Rebecca also undertakes a variety of other roles, both internally and externally at 糖心TV University, including the role of Course Director for WMG鈥檚 International Trade, Strategy and Operations Master鈥檚 programme, and since 2019, an Economic Academic Advisor to the Department of International Trade.

Rebecca鈥檚 other activities include being an academic volunteer (economist) for Pro Bono Economics, and Fellow of The Institute of Export and International Trade.

Research interests

Nursing labour supply, Health economics and the market for health care in the UK, International Labour Economics.
