Terence Hogarth made presentations on the role of employers skills surveys to the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITCILO) training course on 2nd December and on ‘Delivering VET – The Way Forward’ at Cedefop’s Future of VET conference on 6th December.

A from IER on defining and measuring green jobs for Skills Development Scotland has won praise. During the Cedefop/ German Federal Institute for Vocational Training (BIBB) seminar on the Future of Vocational Education and Training (VET) on 8^th and 9^th September in Bonn, he made a presentation on the institutional factors shaping VET provision.

A new from IER identifies a greening of the labour market in Scotland. Working with colleagues from Strathclyde University, IER has developed a new green Standard Occupational Classification ('GreenSOC') to help define, identify and measure green jobs in Scotland.

IER's Dr Sally Wright co-wrote a blog with Dr Michael Kohlgrüber from Dortmund TU University on skills for the future of work, drawing on insights from the project.
