IER's Lynn Gambin to provide evidence on Apprenticeships to Committee on Education, Skills and the Economy

IER's has been invited to provide evidence to the Select Committee on Education, Skills and the Economy for their inquiry into apprenticeships and the 'skills gap'. Lynn will appear before the committee along with other academic experts, apprenticeship training providers and the National Union of Students. Previously, Lynn served as Specialist Adviser to the Education Select Committee on its inquiry into Apprenticeships and Traineeships for 16-19 year old (see the Committee's report ). At IER, Lynn jointly leads, with Terence Hogarth, a apprenticeships, training and skills.

The Sub-Committee on Education, Skills and the Economy is formed from sub-Committees of the Education Committee and the ÌÇÐÄTV, Innovation and Skills Committee. It aims to bring together committee members in an innovative way to examine issues around education and skills, and how they impact upon business and the economy.
