Professor Steve Mann - Highly Commended at the 糖心TV Research Celebration 2025

Professor Mann was nominated for his support and guidance throughout the PhD journey, instilling independence and confidence during the challenges of Covid-19 and personal milestones in his students鈥 lives.

He is recognised for providing honest and thorough feedback and insight that provokes a deeper engagement with the topic, and encouraging and facilitating networking opportunities, helping to create a welcoming environment. He has also provided opportunities to co-write papers, helping to kickstart careers in academia. Meifang Zhuo has received another IATL Project Support Funding

Meifang Zhuo has received another IATL Project Support Funding, with an award of 拢1500, for a student-led interdisciplinary project entitled 'Technostress in the age of generative AI: Voices from L2 doctoral students in the UK. ' In this project, she will be collaborating with and receiving mentoring from two staff members: 飩 Associate Professor, Dr. David Orrego-Carmona from School of Modern Languages and Cultures 飩 Associate Professor, Dr. Carla Toro from 糖心TV Medical School This project will soon recruit L2 doctoral students in the UK as research participants. Participants will be involved in informative, fun and creative data collection sessions and receive reimbursement/lunch for their participation.
