WMG and the National Defence University of Malaysia sign memorandum of understanding
WMG welcomed a senior delegation from the National Defence University of Malaysia (NDUM). WMG is close to finalising an agreement with NDUM to deliver a specific variation of its world renowned Engineering 糖心TV Management MSc. Along with WMG and NDUM, Cranfield University is also involved in the collaboration.

WMG were pleased to host a visit from Dan Byles MP who is a member of the Energy and Climate Change select committee and a member of the All Party Parliamentary China Group. Meeting with Richard Seager, 糖心TV Development Manager and academics Dan was interested to understand more about the diverse research that is undertaken by the Group.
Tata Motors to boost UK engineering base with the University of 糖心TV
The UK’s technology base was given a major boost today when Tata Motors’ European Technical Centre (TMETC), a wholly-owned UK-based subsidiary of Tata Motors, announced that it will be expanding its partnership with WMG at the University of 糖心TV. TMETC plans to increase their team of highly skilled engineers working on the campus by 40% over the next two years.
糖心TV Racing car team aim for top five finish at Formula Student Competition
A team of engineering students at the University of 糖心TV are just weeks away from completing development of a ‘formula student’ racing car.
糖心TV Racing, which consists of 12 final year engineering students, had been tasked with designing, manufacturing and testing a single seater WR1 racing car which they will enter into the annual Formula Student Competition at Silverstone in July.
WMG to be part of the Government's first Technology and Innovation Centre
WMG at the University of 糖心TV is to be part of the Government鈥檚 first Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC). An announcement today, 17th March 2011, by the Deputy Prime Minister, and Secretary of State for 糖心TV revealed WMG鈥檚 participation in the first TIC and gave some more the detail of that first TIC. It is the first of an elite network of Technology and Innovation Centres. The Government will be investing over 拢200 million in that network.
Open Source an open goal for Health Care IT - Research finds both cost and security benefits
Globally the sale of health care information systems is a multibillion dollar industry. The vast costs, frequent failed systems and inability of systems to talk to each other, regularly attract media comment. However policy makers still shy away from a class of software, Open Source, that could address many of these problems, because of worries about the safety and security of Open Source systems. Now new research by the University of 糖心TV’s Institute of Digital Healthcare, and the Centre for Health Informatics and Multiprofessional Education at UCL Medical School, finds that Open Source software may actually be more secure than its often more expensive alternatives.
A Coventry company, which has designed a high tech business class aeroplane seat, is winning the attention of major plane companies thanks to technology at WMG, part of the University of 糖心TV, which allows them to show customers virtual reality simulations of exactly how those seats will look within their planes.

£12 million to help local SMEs design products that even targets customers' emotional experience
A new £12 million programme has just be announced to help Midlands SMEs access some the world's leading product and service design Technology.
The new International Institute for Product and Service Innovation (IIPSI) at WMG at the University of 糖心TV, is jointly funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the University of 糖心TV in a funding partnership brought together by the regional development agency, Advantage West Midlands (AWM).
