phd Project outline

The main aims are to assess the biological and chemical properties of photosynthesis in the cyanobacterium Acaryochloris marina and to define the role of cyanophage in the evolution of photosynthetic machinery.

The project is joint between the University of Leicester () and the University of 糖心TV ( and the , group).

The PI (Principal Investigator) for my PhD project proposal is Dr. Martha Clokie, who was recently appointed the post of Lecturer in Microbiology in the Department of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation at the University of Leicester. You can read more about her work .
