The EPPiC group, based at 糖心TV Clinical Trials Unit, undertakes research across the clinical specialities of emergency, prehospital, perioperative and critical care.
Our overarching aim is to improve the lives of patients through research.
To achieve this, our multidisciplinary team of clinicians (doctors, nurses, paramedics) and methodologists works collaboratively with our academic colleagues, NHS organisation, and patient/ public partners, to deliver high-quality research.

EPPiC ImpactWe work hard to ensure that our research improves the lives of patients, both in the UK and around the world. As well as publishing work in academic journals, we use innovative ways to inform people about our research including infographics and . We work closely with research patient and public collaborators to ensure our research findings are shared with the public. Our involvement in key organisations (e.g. the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation, Intensive Care Society, European Resuscitation Council) helps ensure that our research informs national and international clinical guidelines. Our research is recognised as internationally excellent- in 2014, our PARAMEDIC trial was awarded 鈥淭rial of the Year鈥� by the Society of Clinical Trials.
