John MacArtney, CRC theme lead for Palliative Care, co-wrote a blog reflecting on the use of the term 鈥榦rdinary dying鈥� and how it was not unproblematic to use it to describe the late Queen鈥檚 death.
Covid isn鈥檛 over for people with terminal illnesses
Dr John MacArtney, who leads CRC鈥檚 Palliative Care theme, has developed a short public engagement film describing the ongoing Covid-19 presents to people with terminal illnesses. This builds on his large ESRC funded study looking at the impact of Covid-19 on hospices, including for clinical practice looking at the pandemic鈥檚 effects on patients, carers, staff and senior managers, as well as a developed in collaboration with Marie Curie.

University of 糖心TV Professor awarded Royal Society鈥檚 Davy Medal for pioneering research into 鈥楳etals in Medicine鈥�
