Matt Galton

About me:

I have now graduated and am working in the Chemical Engineering sector as a numerical analyst, implementing new differential-algebraic equation solvers, optimisers, and various parameter estimation routines. I particularly like filter problems! See my LinkedIn profile for more details! :)

During my time at 糖心TV, I was supervised by .

I am (still!) interested in ergodic theory. In particular, limit theorems (weak invariance principles and enhanced weak invariance principles) for dynamical systems under extremely mild mixing conditions, with applications to deterministic homogenisation.

As part of my MSc, I was involved with a large deviations research study group, supervised by and . We investigated thermodynamic limits and large deviations for wetting and pinning problems relating to height fields distributed under Gibbs measures in (1+1)-dimensions. We produced a .
