In my teaching I have become further interested in how we address complex challenges of our time, including the control of parasitic disease, but also the interaction between health and environment.
As current Deputy Programme Director for Life Sciences, I am currently focussed on integrating skills training into our teaching within SLS to better train our graduates.
Research Interests and Other Activities
My research background lies in the control of tropical vector borne disease where I was interested in testing interventions against Leishmania vectors in Brazil, and applied a range of approaches from field trials to mathematical modelling to explore the dynamics of Leishmania transmission and its control.
