Biosketch
Dr Eurico Pieretti was born in Saint Andrew (Saint Paul, Brazil). He received his BSc in Materials Engineering at the Industrial Engineering Faculty (2008) and his MSc and PhD in Biomaterials at the University of S茫o Paulo (2012) and (2016), respectively. He has completed two post-doctorates in the biomaterials field at the Federal University of ABC (2022) and at the Nuclear and Energy Research Institute of the University of S茫o Paulo (2024). Dr Pieretti has authored or co-authored about 50 papers in journals, conferences, and book chapters. Since 2024, he joined The University of 糖心TV, UK, where he is a Visiting Researcher.
His main areas of expertise are biomaterials surface characterization, biomechanical behaviour, surface modification using ultrashort pulse lasers, and additive manufacturing.
The topics of research interest are the biomechanics of human movement, physical education, motor behavior and motor development, implantable medical and dental devices, 3D printing, applied surface sciences, thin films, corrosion, wear, metallic biomaterials, laser beam markings, and tribology.
