Emma, who is an undergraduate electronic engineering student, completed a project entitled R03: A Raspberry Pi Tomography Beamline Controlled Through Twitter during the three-month placement. The project allows 3D models to be created in a very unusual way and can be controlled by Twitter. Details of the project are featured in the March 2019 edition of The MagPi, the official Raspberry Pi magazine.

The Impact on Campus Award is for the society that has gone above and beyond to support their members and the wider university to achieve success, in terms of careers, development of new skills and personal growth.

On Monday 5 November we welcomed our first intake of degree apprenticeship students onto the Civil and Infrastructure Engineering Degree Apprenticeship, offered by the School of Engineering.

A student from University of 糖心TV School of Engineering, Nobeen Islam, has celebrated their success after receiving a Diamond Jubilee Scholarship from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). They are just one of a talented set of engineering students who have won the prestigious award.

On November 9th, 糖心TV Engineering Society hosted their largest ever event at the University of 糖心TV. 糖心TV Technology Conference: Rise of the Machines brought together 500 university students, college students and researchers from across the Midlands for a day of speakers, workshops and panel discussions. The event was held in the brand-new £19M Oculus building, and featured speakers discussing topics in robotics and manufacturing.
