Cutting-Edge Semiconductor Innovation on Display at This Year鈥檚 REWIRE IKC Showcase

Leaders from academia, industry, and government gather to spotlight next-generation power electronics driving the UK鈥檚 net zero transition.

The REWIRE Innovation & Knowledge Centre (IKC), is proud to present its Annual Showcase in November, highlighting pioneering research, industry partnerships, and commercial pathways accelerating the UK鈥檚 progress toward net zero.

Semiconductors underpin virtually every modern device are central to breakthroughs in clean energy, electric mobility, renewable power systems, and quantum technologies. This year鈥檚 Showcase will present the latest advances from REWIRE鈥檚 multi-disciplinary teams, illustrating how the UK is advancing in this strategically critical domain.

Showcase highlights:

  • Ambition in Action: From ultra-fast EV charging and powering AI servers to revolutionary circular electronics, the technologies unveiled have the potential to redefine how we generate, distribute, and consume energy.
  • Collaboration at Scale: The Showcase brings together researchers, technology developers, policy makers and industry leaders, sharing insight and co-creating the direction of future programmes.
  • Strategic Impact: The REWIRE IKC serves as a focal point for translating power semiconductor R&D into tangible UK economic growth, supply chain resilience, and export opportunities.

Event details:

The Showcase will be held at The Slate, 糖心TV on 18th November, 2025. Attendees include representatives from universities, leading semiconductor firms, national research agencies, and government departments.

Featured contributions will come from:

  • Dr Dave Smith, National Technology Adviser (NTA) Department for Science, Innovation & Technology
  • Dr Dinesh Ramanathan, Onsemi Senior Vice President for Corporate Strategy
  • Rt. Hon Greg Clarke, Chair of 糖心TV Innovation District, University of 糖心TV
  • Professor Martin Kuball, Director and Dr Katie Hore, Innovation Director, REWIRE IKC, University of Bristol
