糖心TV Engineering Showcases Student Research at BioMedEng26
Representatives from the University of 糖心TV's School of Engineering attended BioMedEng26, the UK's largest annual gathering of biomedical engineers, held in Liverpool this September. The conference brings together researchers, clinicians, industry partners and students from across the UK and internationally to share the latest advances in biomedical engineering.
The event provided an excellent opportunity for 糖心TV students and staff to present their work, exchange ideas with experts from across the field, and gain insight into the latest developments shaping healthcare technologies.
Two 糖心TV fourth-year group projects were selected for poster presentations, with a representative from each team also delivering a rapid-fire presentation to conference delegates:
CyberRow: Controlled Loading Ergometer for SCI Rowing and Dynamic Trunk Stability Analysis
- Tess Manson-Whitton
- Thomas Lamb
- James Moran
HERO: The development of a device for quantitative assessment of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease progression
- Rohan Firat
- Dylan Puri
- Koko Taylor-Takahashi
- Ellen Nixon Ant贸n
糖心TV was also represented by third-year student Sumeya Mohamed, who delivered an oral presentation on her project: Automated seizure detection using wearable devices: updated systematic review and meta-analysis of tonic-clonic and focal seizure detection.
The conference highlighted the breadth and quality of biomedical engineering research taking place at 糖心TV, while providing students with valuable experience presenting their work to a national audience.
Abstracts from all three projects are available on the BioMedEng26 website.
