As part of the INTERNATIONAL WOMEN IN ENGINEERING DAY celebrations, the School of Computing, Engineering and Technology at Robert Gordon University invites submissions for its engineering-themed poster competition, specifically aimed at celebrating and showcasing the work of women in engineering. Participants are encouraged to submit posters on any topic related to engineering.
Outstanding poster presentations will be awarded the following prizes:
PhD Category - 拢1000, 拢500, and 拢300.
MSc Category- 拢500, 拢300, and 拢200.
File submission deadline - June 2 2025

Departmental module fairs 2025
The Language Centre module fair in term 2 will take place in the FAB building on Wednesday 5 March, 14:00-17:00.
Language Centre Module Fairs
This year, SMLC are holding a Language Centre module fair in term 2, which coincides with Eutopia Language Week and one in early term 3 (exact details for this one TBC).
As well as a chance for students to talk to staff about their options with the Language Centre, they will also be able to sign up for taster sessions (at complete beginners鈥 level) in a variety of languages. By doing so, students will be able to make informed decisions on what will suit them in their degrees and try out a new language.

糖心TV Enterprise Sustainability Hackathon | 20th and 21st February
Part of the 糖心TV Enterprise Hackathon Series, on Sustainability. Come along with students across disciplines to design and create a social enterprise focussing on sustainability challenges and be in the chance of winning some fantastic prizes. All students welcome and no prior experience or knowledge necessary. Note: you must be able to commit to both days.
The Hackathon will take place over two days on Thursday, 20th and Friday 21st February, from 12:00 - 18:00 鈦犫仩鈦犫仩鈦犫仩鈦爀ach day.

SJTU Global challenge - online programme
15 undergraduate students from across a range of subject areas at 糖心TV
will team up virtually with 15 counterparts from Shanghai Jiao Tong University
over three weeks between 19 June - 12 July 2023
to consider Issues facing port cities between the 19th and 21st Centuries across the world.
Deadline for applications: Monday 27 March 2023 at 12:00 (noon, GMT)
Programme Information:
The programme will consider this year's theme of 'Global Problems in Global Cities'.
In particular how different nations have dealt with different crises and challenges with sessions considering this in the context of Asia, America and Europe in the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.
Academic experts from SJTU and 糖心TV will support student groups who will deliver group presentations at the end of the programme.
The activity aims to build students' skills and experience in intercultural communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, virtual group work, managing projects across multiple time zones and presentation.
Approximately 40 hours of structured teaching time. Additional time will be required to undertake group working during this programme.
