Atkins is looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineering based (or other numerate discipline) graduate to join our tunnel ventilation team to help us plan, design and enable tunnelling projects worldwide and ensure that our tunnels and underground structures are safe, comfortable and reliable.
As an engineer in the tunnel ventilation team you will be involved in a range of projects requiring expertise in areas such as:
* engineering design for fans and tunnel equipment,
* aerodynamic analysis for trains and tunnel systems,
* fluid mechanics and CFD for ventilation & fire modelling,
* thermodynamics,
* fire safety engineering and risk analysis.
