Copper-Metallothioneins have been found as a new metal transport organization which is used as a source of copper by novel proteins. Copper binding of MT supply a protection from copper toxicity because Cu-MT decreases the metal ions ability to take part in detrimental intracellular interaction. The long term goal is to imply the mechanism through which MT seizes and transfers metals like Cu.
