'Parish Records' Workshop

This interactive workshop introduces the numerous types of parish records held in the 糖心TVshire County Record Office. Focusing on the centuries between Reformation and Enlightenment, when these originally ecclesiastical communities assumed local government duties (particularly relating to poor relief), participants will be given an initial overview by Beat K眉min (University of 糖心TV, My-Parish Network), followed by the opportunity to see specific books and accounts under the guidance of Sharon Forman (糖心TVshire County Record Office).
There will also be ample time to ask questions on subjects ranging from communal organisation via religious practices to record conservation.
