Networks
We aim to engage with a network of researchers and practitioners interested in the field of law and design, particularly those who are committed to addressing challenges of access to justice.
Activities
The Lab will offer workshops and seminars in law and design research methodologies including design thinking, systems design and human-centered analysis of law's new interfaces to students across the university. This training is designed to support work at the intersection of access to justice and technology.
The Lab will take a problem-based learning approach where students will work on live and real-world projects that are both internal as well as external to the university.
These projects are aimed at enhancing public engagement and developing advocacy skills, through an exploration of the impact of new digital legal interfaces, policies, and technologies on society.
Research and Policy
Our research aims are twofold
- to research, curate and initiate discussions in the field of law and design to explore its methodological, epistemic, and philosophical groundings.
- to contribute to policy making around justice sector reform in the UK and globally through design-led research.
