How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

(Epic) Failures and Comebacks with Learning Technology Symposium
Online

Not every digital learning initiative goes to plan -and that's exactly what we want to talk about.

Join us for the (Epic) Failures and Comebacks with Learning Technology Symposium, a 2-hour online event on the 17th September 10:00-12:00, dedicated to sharing honest experiences of learning technology projects that didn't quite work out as expected, the lessons learned along the way, and next steps.

Too often, educational technology discussions focus only on success stories. This symposium creates a space for candid reflection, recognising that setbacks, surprises, and even failures can be some of our most valuable sources of learning.

What to Expect

  • A series of 10-minute lightning talks from colleagues across the sector.
  • A keynote presentation from WIHEA Director, Jess Humphreys.
  • Real-world stories of challenges, missteps, and unexpected outcomes.
  • Practical insights and lessons learned.
  • Q&A and panel session at the end of the session.
  • An open, supportive environment where we can learn from one another.

Whether you're working in learning design, educational technology, academic development, teaching, or student support, this event offers an opportunity to gain fresh perspectives and connect with others who have navigated similar challenges.

Come along to hear the stories behind setbacks, celebrate resilience and innovation, and discover how we can learn from failure.
