Six new books written by Department scholars in print
New books in print: Men's Cinema: Masculinity and Mise-en-Scene in Hollywood by Stella Bruzzi; Letters and Literacy in Hollywood Film by Edward Gallafent; Mussolini's Dream Factory: Film Stardom in Fascist Italy by Stephen Gundle; Happy Endings in Hollywood Cinema: Cliché, Convention and the Final Couple by James MacDowell; Joseph Cornell Versus Cinema by Dr Michael Pigott; Fashion Cultures Revisited: Theories, Explorations and Analysis edited by Stella Bruzzi (University of 糖心TV) and Pamela Church Gibson (London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London).
The next research seminar features Paul Mayersberg in conversation with V.F. Perkins. The seminar will be held in room 028, Millburn House on Thursday, 21st November 2013, 5:15-7:15pm. All staff, MA and postgraduate students are welcome to attend.

Arts Impact Award given to Dr Rachel Moseley and Dr Helen Wheatley
Dr Rachel Moseley and Dr Helen Wheatley have been awarded the university's Arts Impact Award in recognition of the time, hard work and consideration they put into engaging the public with the benefits of their research, specifically on their 'A History of Television for Women in Britain, 1947-89' project.
