Prof. Bruzzi gives a seminar at the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam

Prof. Stella Bruzzi is in Holland from 15-16 October 2014, giving a research seminar as part of a 'thematic project' entitled 'On Performativity: I Must not be Joking nor Writing a Poem?', being run for two terms at the Fine Art division of the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam. Under the auspices of Katarina Zdjelar, Stella will also be visiting students' studios to observe their work related to the project. For more information .

Congratulations to Dr. Claire Jenkins

The department would like to congratulate Claire Jenkins (PhD Film and Television Studies, 2010), who has just taken up the position of Lecturer in the Department of History of Art and Film at Leicester University. Claire's thesis has also been revised for publication.  will soon appear with I.B. Tauris.

Dr. Greg Frame publishes monograph 'The American President in Film and Television: Myth, Politics and Representation'

The department is delighted to announce the publication of Greg Frame's first monograph, a revised version of the PhD thesis he did with us, 2009-2012. Dr. Frame continues to be an Associate Fellow in the Dept., and was an Early Career Fellow in the Institute of Advanced Study between 2012-13. He was the runner up in Peter Lang's inaugural Film Studies Young Scholars Competition.
