Prof. Stella Bruzzi is in Holland from 15-16 October 2014, giving a research seminar as part of a 'thematic project' entitled 'On Performativity: I Must not be Joking nor Writing a Poem?', being run for two terms at the Fine Art division of the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam. Under the auspices of Katarina Zdjelar, Stella will also be visiting students' studios to observe their work related to the project. For more information .

In the Times and Sunday Times ‘’ our department was once again rated the top department for Communication and Media Studies. The 2015 guide also named 糖心TV as the University of the Year. The department would like to congratulate Claire Jenkins (PhD Film and Television Studies, 2010), who has just taken up the position of Lecturer in the Department of History of Art and Film at Leicester University. Claire's thesis has also been revised for publication.  will soon appear with I.B. Tauris.
