How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

IAS Speculative Lunch - Medical Humanities
Wolfson Research Exchange

Faculty of Arts & IAS Speculative Lunch:

The Medical Humanities at 糖心TV

What are the ‘Medical Humanities’, and who does them? Here at 糖心TV, we have a wide range of experts addressing questions and themes now increasingly grouped under the heading of ‘the Medical Humanities’ – signifying an interdisciplinary approach to understanding and engaging with medicine as a collection of practices, cultural forms, and social forces. ‘Medical Humanities’ has been highlighted as an area of growth by key funding bodies, including the Wellcome Trust, the AHRC and ESRC.

This meeting, supported by the Faculty of Arts and the IAS, will explore what we already do at 糖心TV in terms of researching and teaching in the medical humanities. How can we build on the University’s existing strengths, and develop new synergies between colleagues across the University’s faculties? We invite interested staff and postdoctoral colleagues to come along to talk briefly about their work and explore potential new opportunities over lunch.

The lunch will be held in the Wolfson Research Exchange, on the Library’s 3rd floor (across the bridge) from 12:00 to 2:00 on Monday 22 April 2013.
