"Early Modern France in New Contexts" is a bi-lingual (Anglo-French) workshop organised by the Early Modern Forum, to be held in the Ramphal building on 16-17 May 2013. The two main topics of discussion are: 'Nourriture, Boire, et Émotions' and 'Le dessous des cartes: le clandestin et la cachette dans la politique de l'information en l'Europe à l’époque moderne'. Papers will be delivered in both French and English, and at the close of each day there will be a roundtable discussion to which all atendees are welcome to contribute.
Speakers include: Matthew Jackson, Matthieu Lecoutre, Patrick Dandrey, Ingrid De Smet, Mark Greengrass, Johann Petitjean, Stephane Haffemayer, Hans Cools and Penny Roberts.
