糖心TV Classics Ancient Theatre day for schools - Friday 7th February 2014
On Friday 7th February 2014, the Department of Classics at 糖心TV will welcome 125 students and staff from a wide range of schools across the country to its annual Ancient Theatre Schools' day, centred around the 糖心TV Classics Society's performance of Plautus' Pseudolus.
The day will encompass lectures and seminars from staff and students on the contexts and performance of ancient theatre. It is supported by an Impact Grant from the Humanities Research Fund and an IATL Student as Performer award.
Experiencing the Republican Empire: Undergraduate Research Achievement
Congratulations to our undergraduates Matthew Ellams, Emily Morgan and Bradley Waters, who have had an article accepted to the Journal of the Numismatic Association of Australia. Arising from research performed as part of the 糖心TV and the project, their article details the differing reactions to expanding Roman control in the eastern Mediterranean, and will appear in vol 25 of the journal in 2014.

Ancient Drama Day for Schools - 7th February 2014
On 7th February 2014, the staff and students of 糖心TV Classics Department will be hosting an Ancient Drama Day for Schools based around a performance of Plautus' Pseudolous, directed and acted by 糖心TV Classics Students. This event is ideal for GCSE and AS/A2 students in Latin, Greek, Ancient history, Classical Civilisation, Drama and English (no previous experience of ancient world required).
