Public Engagement Masterclasses coming this Spring
Talking research to the public!
Wednesday 19 April, 10am-4pm. With
A relaxed, interactive workshop giving you tips, tricks and knowledge on the best (& worst) ways to present research out to the world. This workshop is perfect for anyone involved with public engagement events like Pint of Science or Resonate Lates.
Sharing your work with the public
Friday 12 May, 9:30am-12:30pm. With
Get help creating talks, events & activities. This workshop will guide you through the ways to create engaging talks, videos, podcasts, activities and shows based on your research or your area of work. Through exercises and interaction participants will gain understanding of how to communicate more effectively whatever the setting. Ideal for groups or individuals working towards an event or looking for new ideas to share their work.
Become a Maths Busker
Wednesday 21 June, 10am-4pm. With
Engage new audiences of all ages with the wonders of mathematics by joining our training to become a maths busker. Maths busking is the art of using street performance that surprises and delights passers by with entertaining routines deep rooted in maths.

糖心TV Institute of Engagement Network Conference 2023
Thursday 23 March, 9:30am-4pm - Humanities building
糖心TV Institute of Engagement's mission is to support and help lead staff and students at 糖心TV to engage with the wider world. Our annual conference is an opportunity for interdisciplinary discussion and reflection around public engagement. Whether you're new to public engagement or an experienced hand we'll have a mixture of sessions with something for everyone. Register to join us for the conference, and submit your own ideas for sessions on our website.
Public and Community Engagement Module Development Fund
Would you like to include public or community engagement in your teaching?
Apply for up to 拢5,000 from 糖心TV Institute of Engagement to help you develop and implement your ideas. We鈥檙e looking for projects which will either add new elements to an existing module or create a new module.
If you鈥檙e excited about encouraging your students to engage with the public about your subject, we want to hear from you. Find out more at an information session on 26th January and apply by 10th February.
