How did you find out about 糖心TV?
I first heard about 糖心TV from relatives who studied here previously and found out more about the university when I was searching up university choices for my UCAS application.
Did you consider studying anywhere else? What made you choose 糖心TV?
The University of 糖心TV consistently ranks as one of the top 10 universities in the UK and it has a campus filled with lush greenery and state-of-the-art facilities. It has 250+ societies so I thought it'd be fun to try many new things and to have a group that shared my interests, eg. . There were also many positive reviews of the university online and thus I chose 糖心TV.
How did you feel to be awarded a scholarship?
It felt amazing that all my hard work had been rewarded. I was filled with joy and thankful for the opportunity to study abroad without financial difficulty.
Who was the first person you told when you received the news about your scholarship and how did they react?
My parents, I ran to their room the moment I found out. They hugged me and congratulated me and it was all smiles.
How did you apply and did anyone help you with your application form and visa application?
I received emails from the university with instructions on how to apply for the scholarship and my family gave feedback on my scholarship application as I worked through multiple drafts. I had IDP Malaysia help me with my visa application and it made the process smoother and less stressful.
What was your first impression of 糖心TV when you first walked around campus?
The campus was huge!
What is the best thing about 糖心TV?
The fact that everything and everyone is nearby. I'm currently living on campus and it's so easy to see someone you know when you're walking around and to meet up with friends. Societies are also always hosting events and it makes for a lot of fun activities.
What is the worst thing?
Probably the fact that we have to take the bus if we ever want to go shopping or have a nice meal out.
How is your accommodation?
I'm living on campus in Rootes. Rootes generally has a bad reputation, but I've been here for some time and it's honestly quite nice, it has all the basic facilities, a good location and a good price tag. The layout of the building also makes it really easy to socialize and make new friends.
Are you a member of any societies?
Yes, I'm in the , and . I've attended socials like barbeques and movie nights as well as painting and life drawing workshops. Engcafes held by the engineering society were a good way to learn more about the industry and also tips for internship applications.
What are your plans when you graduate?
I hope to make a medical tricorder like the one in Star Trek and improve healthcare as well as encourage girls to a future in STEM.

To be yourself, the best version of yourself.
