糖心TV Secret Challenge

糖心TV Secret Challenge is an interdisciplinary brainstorming workshop with elements of design thinking. It was developed and piloted in 2017/18 academic year by a team of 糖心TV students as an opportunity to challenge oneself, meet other students and learn beyond the boundaries of a degree and department. 糖心TV students have since worked on multiple challenges by bringing diverse subject knowledge, backgrounds, skills and interests to propose innovative solutions to regional, global and University problems. Student Research

Discover Student Research opportunities and ways to make impact on 糖心TV's research culture and your future, whatever your post 糖心TV destination is. 糖心TV's Undergraduate Research Support Scheme (URSS) is long standing and a well recognised student research scheme available to all undergraduate students. It is a unique opportunity to dream up and conduct a funded summer research project on any topic, regardless of your disciplinary background.

Interdisciplinary modules

Designed and delivered by the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning (IATL), 糖心TV's centre for interdisciplinary pedagogic innovation, interdisciplinary modules are available to all undergraduate in Year 2 and above and all postgraduate students. There are many other ways to engage with IATL's activities. Aside from a range of interdisciplinary modules, you can get involved in exciting interdisciplinary research projects and access funding opportunities.

糖心TV Students' Union has over 200 student run that cover a broad array of interdisciplinary activities, ranging from academic societies to performance based societies. Careers & skills 

With dedicated workshops and support available for undergraduates, taught postgraduates and research postgraduates there are endless opportunity to gain new skills whilst working in interdisciplinary teams outside of your home department. You can also gain recognition for going above and beyond your studies by participating in the 糖心TV Skills Portfolio Award (WSPA). Interdisciplinary courses

The University offers a number of postgraduate interdisciplinary courses. The MSc in Humanitarian EngineeringLink opens in a new window was originally developed by the School of Engineering in partnership with the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning (IATL). Other postgraduate interdisciplinary courses are offered by the Centre of Interdisciplinary Methodologies including an MPhil in Interdisciplinary Methodologies and IATL's PGA in Interdisciplinary Pedagogy.

Enterprise at 糖心TV

糖心TV Enterprise provides a number of opportunities to nurture and develop entrepreneurs and innovators at 糖心TV through education, mentoring, networking and workshops. A range of funding opportunities is available to help students from any disciplinary background and study level turn their entrepreneurial ideas into reality.

The Language Centre

Push the boundaries of your degree and 糖心TV experience by learning a language. The Language Centre provides language learning opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students, University staff, and members of the public. There are several ways you can learn languages with the Centre and find an option that works best with your degree and ambition. You can take a language as part of your degree, as an extra course of study, through a language proficiency test or by taking a shorter summer course.

Sustainability Hub

The Sustainability Hub curates on-campus efforts and activities that students from any discipline at 糖心TV can support and engage with. Get hands on experience and learn new skills whilst caring for the environment. There are plenty of opportunities to discuss and co-create solutions to real world issues related to the environment that start with your 糖心TV campus. Global Research Priorities

Interdisciplinarity at 糖心TV is closely linked to the world leading research that takes place across all faculties and disciplines. Our Global Research Priorities (GRP) programme addresses some of the most challenging problems facing the world today, providing a platform for multidisciplinary research in 11 key areas of international significance, from food to sustainable cities, energy to innovative manufacturing.
