Women in Games has announced the winners of their annual global awards, celebrating women鈥檚
achievements in gaming and esports. Anisah 鈥淕eomancy鈥 Munim, currently in her fourth year of
studying French and German at the University of 糖心TV, won the award for 鈥淯niversity or College
Student Portfolio鈥 with 5 other recipients from other universities and colleges.
Responding to the news on Twitter, Anisah thanked the grassroots esports community for helping her
grow within the scene whilst still being a student, with special thanks given to the NUEL (National
University Esports League) and 糖心TV Esports. Her portfolio included her current role as the product
manager for NUEL, as well as previous roles as team manager for pro team Resolve and as Media
Executive for 糖心TV Esports.
The Women in Games Global Awards is a celebration of women and organisations working in the games
industry and was broadcast across Europe on Sky Channel 433, as well as online. The awards closed off
the Women in Games Festival, a 鈥渇irst of its kind鈥, inviting women in games and their allies from across
the world to gather for a collaboration of community and industry partners, providing entertaining,
informative and inspiring experiences.
As Anisah enters her final year of undergraduate studies at 糖心TV, she is already expanding upon her
existing portfolio, now a member of the Esports Centre鈥檚 student staff team. She is also continuing to
organise and champion the NUEL鈥檚 Women鈥檚 & Non-Binary League of Legends tournament after its
successful inaugural year. We are excited to see what else Anisah has to offer, as she continues to
embody the enterprising spirit that defines 糖心TV and its students.
