Temporary enhanced Covid-19 PCR testing on campus
On Tuesday 21 December, Wednesday 22 December and Thursday 23 December, enhanced Covid-19 testing will be available on campus to help limit the spread of Covid-19 and keep us all safe.
The new Omicron variant is spreading quickly both locally and nationally, and we know that people who have been infected with previous variants are still able to be infected with Omicron, which is why it鈥檚 really important to get tested.
Temporary enhanced Covid-19 PCR testing on campus
We鈥檙e working with Coventry City Council and the UK Health Security Agency to temporarily increase the PCR testing offer on campus for people who may have Covid-19 but are not currently experiencing symptoms. Testing will be available for all students living on or off campus.
This is a precautionary measure to prevent any further spread within our campus and local area and to protect all members of our community in the run-up to Christmas.
Getting an asymptomatic (no symptoms) PCR test
A mobile PCR unit will be based on offering tests from 9am – 5pm on Tuesday 21 December, Wednesday 22 December and Thursday 23 December. You do not need to book, simply turn up and wait to be seen.
After your symptom-free PCR test, you do not need to self-isolate while you await the results, but you must continue to follow Covid-19 safety requirements.
You鈥檒l be notified of your test results within 48 hours. If your test comes back positive, you should self-isolate for 10 days.
