Eco-centre proposal: get involved
The Environmental Sustainability team would like your feedback on an exciting student-staff initiative, an opportunity to shape and support a new sustainable space on campus!
The Engineers Without Borders (EWB) society, in collaboration with Estates, are proposing to build an innovative straw bale Eco-Centre on central campus showcasing exemplar building techniques and renewable energy technologies. It is planned that the centre will have bookable space available for societies, classes, workshops and events; have a demonstration/exhibition area for members of the public and school groups; and be managed by a social enterprise. Now is the time to help shape what it could look like.
