 Full text: The British Council\, under the Newton Fund\, invites applica
 tions for the institutional links grants – UK\, Indonesia\, Thailand and
  Turkey. These enable partners in the UK\, Indonesia\, Thailand and Turk
 ey to collaborate internationally and gain access to new research enviro
 nments\, facilities\, knowledge and expertise in order to enhance the qu
 ality of their research and enable them to translate research and innova
 tion into economic and societal benefit. Collaborations must establish n
 ew research and innovation links or significantly develop existing links
  between research groups\, departments or institutions with the potentia
 l for longer term sustainability. They must also focus on topics or them
 es that have relevance to the economic development and welfare of the pa
 rtner country. For Indonesia\, proposals should address the following pr
 iority sectors in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic: energy\; health\; t
 ransportation\; marine\; multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral\; social h
 umaniores\, arts and education\; engineering products\; food. For Thaila
 nd\, proposals should address the following: bioeconomy\, circular econo
 my and green economy\; AI for all and data economy\; ageing society\; so
 cial science and humanities\; sustainable management of natural resource
 . Proposals may also relate to COVID-19. For Turkey\, proposals should a
 ddress: ICT\; machine manufacturing\; energy\; automotive\; health inclu
 ding COVID-19\; agriculture and food\; social sciences\; metallurgy\; ad
 vanced material technologies\; chemistry. Each proposal must have one pr
 incipal applicant from the UK and one from Indonesia\, Thailand or Turke
 y. Both Principal applicants must be leading or established researchers 
 and permanent employees of a non-profit HEI or researcher organisation\,
  a UK HEI or a catapult centre. Grants from the Newton Fund range from £
 50\,000 to £150\,000 depending on the partner country\, with additional
