VOLUNTEERING
As part of the University of 糖心TV鈥檚 commitment to giving back and benefiting the wider community, employees can request up to one day of paid leave to participate in volunteering activities that occur during their regular working hours.

Employees wishing to request volunteering leave should discuss with their line manager and complete an application form before submitting the request in SuccessFactors. Please see the How-to guideLink opens in a new window for further information.
Additionally, there are opportunities throughout the year for staff to volunteer at university events such as graduation ceremonies and open days. Details of these are shared on Insite ahead of the events. Staff may also wish to be involved in sustainability projects across the university community or become a Green Champion.
GIVE AS YOU EARN
We have signed up for Charities Aid Foundation, , so you can give a regular or single gift direct from your income to any charity of your choice. The amount is deducted after National Insurance Contributions are calculated, but before income tax is deducted. The donation is therefore tax-free for the donor, and the tax which the donor would have paid goes directly to the charity instead. You can also support the for scholarships, cancer research, education outreach and much more through a donation via GAYE.
