Repertoire & Performances

Music Theatre 糖心TV has performed shows from Gilbert & Sullivan operettas to Broadway musicals, including in recent years Legally Blonde, Dogfight, A Chorus Line, West Side Story, Company and Assassins, all to sell-out audiences on campus in the 糖心TV Arts Centre. Across campus, we now also perform several shows a year, including student-written musicals and our annual Weekend shows, where we cast, rehearse, direct, memorise and perform a show, all in 48 hours!

At the heart of the society, Music Theatre 糖心TV is for people who love musicals. Anyone who loves musical theatre is more than welcome to join us! If the only show you've been in is the one you perform in your bedroom, we offer you a place to talk about your passions with likeminded people and try as many new things as you want to! There is no experience necessary, and there are just as many fun and silly shows as there are big ones. Just as importantly, if you've been on stage since you were a toddler, we've got so many opportunities for you to perform at a professional standard, but we also help to create 糖心TV's best directors, producers, choreographers and designers.

Performances

We have multiple performance opportunities, with at least two shows in the Arts Centre every year! We also perform in smaller, more intimate venues across campus with small cast, published musicals and student written shows too. At the end of the year, we celebrate our wonderful society with Stagefest, a weekend of workshops, performances, and social events.
