Funding for PGR Research Activities

Your academic department or centre of doctoral training is the best first place to investigate the possibility of funding expenses that relate to your postgraduate studies, including Research Support Training Grants affiliated with some scholarships. Other internal and external opportunities to fund your research-related expenses and opportunities are listed below.

G-Research - , , . These are highly competitive opportunities aimed at students in their final or penultimate year of a master鈥檚 or PhD (PhD preferred) in a highly technical or quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering or Computer Science.

Humanities Research Centre Doctoral Fellowships Providing up to 拢1200 to organise a one-day interdisciplinary Post-Graduate Conference.

IATL Project Support Providing up to 拢10,000 for projects which support the University's Education Strategy.

Providing up to 拢5000 to UK university students, who are in financial need and have a parent or spouse or are employed themselves, as a commercial traveller, pharmacist or grocer.

Networking Fund Providing up to 拢300 to build and disseminate research networks.
