In her free flowing and colourful paintings Morton creates what she calls a 鈥渘arrative of sensations鈥�; in 'Mountain' the essence of a physical space is created using veils of colour to suggest a sensation of space and depth. She does not regard her paintings as purely abstract since they contain figurative elements through which she seeks to 鈥渂ring to the forefront some aspect of what鈥檚 going on around me鈥�.
