漏 The artist and The Approach
The information we are given as viewers is limited, we are observers of a private moment, we cannot see the subject鈥檚 face and only have a limited view of his environment. It鈥檚 a very intimate moment and one of reflection and light. Close to, the painting is a collage of brush marks and colours. From a distance it resolves into a figure in space. The work invites a moment of connection and recognition of that half awake time in the morning.
