Midlands technicians launch new Equipment Sharing scheme
Technicians from the eight Midlands Innovation universities have launched a new first of its kind , , highlighting the excellent facilities across the consortium, and an to provide our researchers with the mechanism for access.
A part of the Research England funded TALENT programme, the Technician Led Equipment Sharing project has been designed to demonstrate how technical colleagues can lead the effective sharing of equipment to further the research and develop collaborations across Midlands Innovation institutions.
TALENT: Website Launched and Chair of Policy announced

The Research England funded TALENT programme has launched a webpage () which includes an introductory video and brochure outlining what the project will achieve for the Midlands Innovation technical workforce. The Chair of the TALENT Policy Commission has also been announced as Professor Sir John Holman, University of York.
Technician's Commitment: one year on
The Technician's Commitment Event was held at The Tower of London on the 6th November 2018. Attended by 糖心TV University, the event helps member institutions to engage with one another to promote the commitment and share best practice. The day long event consisted of seminars,talks and workshops which all help in understanding the progress,challenges and further work to be done by leading institutions on the commitment. The day ended with an evening reception, where 糖心TV University received an award for submission. This award was accepted by our Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor Stephen Jarvis.
